Bike collision

A big well-done to all the emergency services who helped with the collision of two bicycles on the coastal path near Brooklands.

I can only imagine that one of the cyclists were not looking where they were going, or perhaps were simply cycling too quickly to avert disaster. People do need to have more awareness of others who are also enjoying our lovely coastlines.

It has made me take stock and think of my own actions, as I often run down this path with headphones on - it does alter peripheral vision and impair sound, which could affect the path of others.

My thoughts go out to the cyclists involved and wish them a quick recovery.
