THIS letter goes out to every resident in Worthing.
Please can you consider vision impaired people when maintaining your gardens.
Worthing has a high number of vision-impared people living within the borough, who like everyone else, enjoy walking around the town.
However, they are often faced with obstacles that you may be able to see and avoid, like overhanging branches on the pavement, but that they are obviously unaware of until it’s too late and they are struck in the head or the face.
Perhaps everyone could just check that they haven’t got trees and bushes overhanging the pavements, and if they have, cut them back.
Thank you, on behalf of all the vision-impaired people in Worthing.
