Crossing worry

I am writing this email because of recent events involving my close encounter with a vehicle on a crossing at Fullback Way, Durrington.

Fullback Way is a new road and runs along the side of Tesco Extra at Durrington.

The road is intended, as far as I can see, as an access road for deliveries to the Tesco store. It links through to the roundabout at the entrance to Tesco.

The speed limit on Fullback Way is 10mph but this is largely, if not completely ignored. The crossing in question links from Canberra Road across into Tesco.

I have reported to the police of my concerns about this particular road and the dangerous situation regarding the crossing.

I have not had any positive intentions from the police, only an email from the road safety officer saying he would be enquiring as to the ‘ownership’ of the road and looking at collision data (not sure what that is!).

I was wondering if anyone else had concerns regarding this road as I have heard nothing since January 7, and if any other reports had been made by other members of the public.
