Differing opinions

MY letter about the diabetic woman who received a hefty fine was submitted at the Herald’s invitation for reader comment on the article.

It was nothing other than a simply stated opinion based on the facts as presented by the article, and backed up with my reasons, which I still stand by.

My letter was not venomous – my respondent should re-read their own to see a string of petty personal attack. If a new item is submitted to a local paper which then opens the subject for debate, one has to accept that some opinions will differ from one’s own.
