Dogs’ mess

I live in West Avenue, West Worthing, and it seems we have a serious issue with people who do not pick up after their dogs.

It has become so bad that outside the flats where I live there were six or seven separate piles of dogs’ mess this morning.

It isn’t just outside our block but all along the street.

Earlier this week, someone had picked a lot of it up, but just left it in a bag in the middle of the pavement.

I have a two-year-old son who likes to walk beside the pushchair, but this has become near impossible because there is so much muck on the pavements and, being only two, he doesn’t pay attention to where he is walking.

I would like to make a plea to anyone who walks their dogs down West Avenue to please pick up after your dog, it only takes two seconds.

It is your responsibility as a dog owner and people shouldn’t have to side-step your dogs’ mess.
