Guildbourne needs attention

There has been much talk recently about redevelopment of Worthing’s eyesores.

Now that Teville Gate may finally get off the ground I believe attention should be turned on the half-empty dilapidated Guildbourne Centre.

Worthing does not need more retail space, there are more than enough empty units around town, especially when Teville Gate is finally completed.

The Guildbourne Centre should be demolished and the land turned into a plaza on which to hold street markets or for buskers and street performers to play with maybe a few cafe and bar units and new public toilets. Far cheaper, far more effective, far prettier and in keeping with the renaissance our town is currently going through.
