I AM absolutely disgusted to read in the Herald (October 20) of proposed plans that grave decorations could be removed unless prior permission is sought.
What harm are tea lights, wind charms and solar lights if they bring some peace to a parent who has lost a child? If anyone of the so-called officials had to live the life of a parent who has lost a child, I can assure them their feelings would be very different.
Parents and siblings leave these gifts on birthdays and Christmas – do they want to take that away from us?
