Have your say

I would like to say a huge thank you to all the residents, traders, firefighters, stall holders, schools, emergency services, dance groups and everyone else who took part in the Broadwater Carnival and Fire Station open day this year.

The feedback has been very positive and the event itself was awesome, with 15,000 people visiting the day.

As we go forward, we do now aim to keep this a joint event and if anyone wants to join us in the organising, please do contact me directly on 01903 238478, or at the address below.

A really big thank you to all our committee members who have worked so hard behind the scenes all year round.

Normally the carnival raises £4,000 for charity, and the Fire Station day raises £1,000.

We have been overwhelmed with people’s generosity this year and, as well as having an amazing fun day, we have raised just under £10,000 for all the charities!

Wow, thank you so much.

This money will make an incredible difference to local people’s lives.

Don’t forget to put Saturday July 23, 2016, in your diary for next year and, once again, a very heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported this awesome day.
