LETTER: Disappointed, not surprised

It was disappointing rather than surprising to hear last Sunday night that Tim Loughton, our respected MP, had tweeted on leaving the Albert Hall that his evening had been ruined by the ‘usual drivel’ from Ken Loach in his short speech accepting the well-deserved Outstanding British Film award for ‘I, Daniel Blake’.

No doubt Mr Loughton has been too busy celebrating the wonders of Brexit(?) to see the film for himself, so I suppose we have to pity him for being so out of touch with real life that he thinks that Loach, and not Loughton, is living in La La Land.
