The letter from Michael Moore (June 9) has encouraged me to respond.
On Wednesday morning, June 1, I was making my way to cross from the clock tower to the other side of Surrey Street when a cyclist moving at a fair speed approached from the top end of the High Street, crosses the crossing and continues down Surrey Street vanishing into Pier Road.
I used the word cyclist as he wore a helmet and appeared to know what he was doing.
Then there was the motorist who used his mobile while driving.
But of greater concern to me is the number of young mothers on mobiles while pushing prams along with two or three children crossing the busy Arundel Road at the crossing.
What would happen should a child make an incorrect move?
