‘Read my letter...’

JACK Scott, in his letter “A case for exemption” has completely missed the point.

What I said was that people who are 75 years of age or more, and only have the state pension to live on, may choose to supplement it by working, thereby remaining independent of further state benefits.

They have contributed for nearly 60 years, and now they should be allowed to earn that money free of tax.

Read my letter again, Mr Scott.
