Have your say

There have been many articles recently in your paper relating to road safety and associated matters in the Worthing area. As someone who walks and drives after dark along the A27 Arundel Road regularly, I cannot believe the number of vehicles that use this busy road with defective lights.

Most that I see are about to go into an unlit area or have come from one and are driving with only one working headlight.

I have also noticed an increasing number of cyclists riding with no lights and with dark clothing, both on the road and the pavement.

I struggle to understand the mentality of those who clearly have no regard for their own safety or others around them.

I suspect the police are too busy dealing with other issues but I think it’s time they allocated some time to these issues as, in my opinion, something needs to be done about it.
