WE are all facing hard times and extra costs, and yet Worthing Borough Council is quite happy to use our hard-earned money paid over in council tax to give its staff extra holidays.
How can it close down the Town Hall and Portland House for eight days?
If we can do without them all for eight days, then just how many do we really need during normal working hours?
Why is council tax money being used to give council staff two extra days holiday?
This is just a slap in the face for all council tax payers.
Is it not enough that a huge slice of council tax is used for their top-of-the-range pensions, without the need to add insult to injury in giving extra days’ holiday on full pay.
Just what is going on inside this other-world bubble the council lives in?
