Welfare needs

Wendy Knight said ‘We carried out obligatory checks to assess the welfare and needs of the travellers’.

How about council officials carrying out a few checks about the welfare and needs of its paymasters - the inhabitants of Worthing? What about our needs being met by the rapid eviction of illegal encampments and the often resulting mess left behind on public spaces?

Why is the minority always given higher standards of ‘welfare needs’ over the beleaguered taxpayers of the area?

Perhaps the cricket club could have practised hitting sixes in their direction, or the Fire Service practised with their high-powered hoses. Maybe that would have helped any eviction process!
