PLEASE let me explain to the public about NHS beds in Worthing Hospital.
My husband, who was in Worthing Hospital for problems with his pancreas and gall bladder in September, had seven scans and excellent care from doctors, nurses and staff over a five-week period.
He has been on the waiting list since then. He was admitted on January 10 at noon, but at 2.40pm he was told there was no bed and that he and others would have to go home.
It was very distressing for him and the family.
The sad thing is, he paid for the NHS all his working life. Why can they not open Southlands Hospital for beds to make things better and keep the operations done by surgeons who care and do a wonderful job.
