The three young girls, Olivia Miller, Emily Bunce and Hollie Dwyer were really disappointed that your Community Stars awards article stated that they had raised more than £1,600 for Worthing Hospital’s children’s A&E department.
In fact, they’ve far exceeded their expectations and have raised £2,785.93.
They have every hope of reaching £3,000.
They’ve worn their shorts in all sorts of weather, without long socks or tights, and their six months is nearly up.
They have “worked” hard all summer and their final effort includes a home-made soup and roll morning, a 50/50 raffle, a copper collection and support from Worthing Running Sisters.
Hopefully, the whole adventure will be an experience they will never forget.

Editor’s note: the Community Stars supplement was put together with details provided on nomination forms, hence the lower figure being reported.
But we are delighted to hear the girls have far exceeded their expectations.
