PONIES, fairies and a character called Muddles have been added to the traditional Snow White line-up for this year's Pavilion Theatre panto in Worthing.
The cast is headed by Mark Little, famed for his role as Joe Mangel in TV's Neighbours, who returns to Worthing following his performance in Aladdin last year.
Mark, who lives in Hove, promises that despite the addition of so many new characters, the show will have a distinctly traditional feel with lots of audience participation.
He said: "I'm the comedy one really. I read out things to the audience and really get the kids involved. I play Muddles Chuckles and I think the name says it all because I'm nice but a bit dim.
"I love pantomimes and over the years, I have got really quite defensive about it because it's such a great tradition.
"The response you get and the fact kids can get a bit rowdy and really enjoy themselves is so unique. It's just fun for everyone."
After finishing his run in Snow White, Mark will spent the early part of next year bringing his Olivier award-winning show Defending the Caveman back to the stage.
In the last few years, he has performed in many theatre shows, including a stint in the Australia play Cosi this summer. He also starred as Bottom in Stafford Festival Theatre's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream in 2006.
Snow White is a Paul Hammond production and this year will feature Russian circus act Equilibrium.
