FRIENDS Wayne Jones and Scott Anderson are getting ready to take on one of the biggest challenges of their lives – a gruelling 1,400-mile cycle ride for charity.
The Worthing pair, who have been friends since school, will leave to start their bike marathon on Tuesday, March 3, and expect it will take them three to four weeks.

They will ride from the Rock of Gibraltar to Brighton Pier, and during the trip expect to clock up around 70 miles per day.

Wayne, 33, of Littlehampton Road, Worthing, said: "We've done challenges before, but nothing as big as this.

"At first we were just going to do it for fun, but then we decided to do it for charity, so we could help people, too.

"It will be tough, but I think we'll be ok. We're training hard."

All the money they raise will go to Southern FM's Help a Local Child campaign.
