HERALD reader Clare-Louise Diggins wondered what was going on when she saw the Royal Navy bomb disposal unit at Worthing Lido.
Her photographs of activity on Worthing beach today (Tuesday, September 23) show police, beach crew, coastguard and bomb disposal experts dealing with what was initially thought to be a Second World War mine.
