PROTESTING fervour is continuing to the very end for campaigners fighting to save Worthing and Southlands hospitals.
On Thursday, November 1, Worthing Borough Council is holding a public meeting to formulate its response to West Sussex Primary Care Trust's (PCT) Fit for the Future consultation.
The council wants to make sure it projects towns folks' views when it submits a written response to the PCT.

It must not happenThe Keep Worthing and Southlands Hospitals (KWASH) campaign group is also urging people to get their responses in to the PCT before the consultation deadline of 9am on Wednesday, November 14.
KWASH chairman Tom Wye said: "We must not allow any kind of downgrade to happen to our hospital.
"We must continue to focus on getting in as many objections as possible to hammer the message home."
Write againPeter Bottomley, MP for West Worthing, added: "The KWASH petition has more than 100,000 signatures and will be presented to the PCT before the consultation closes.
"But even if you have signed the petition, please make sure you write.
"If you have written already, send another letter.
"We need overwhelming opposition to stop the downgrading of our hospitals."

Everything countsTim Loughton, MP for East Worthing and Shoreham, said: "We know that a lot of people will respond at the end of the consultation period and there are currently two weeks left, but it is important to remind everyone that the deadline is fast approaching.
"This is far too important an issue to leave it to others.
"Every single letter, email, telephone call, text message or any other form of communication you can think of makes a difference.
"People power can win the day, so make sure you take responsibility and get your response in."
