IT'S probably one of the most "limited" of limited editions ever produced – there are only three of them in the world.
Artist Mike Payne has produced just three framed and signed copies of a new cartoon to help hospital campaigners throughout West Sussex.

And the Worthing and Southlands campaign has the coveted No 1.

Now KWASH chairman Tom Wye has asked the Herald to help raise campaign funds by auctioning the work.

The money raised will go into the campaign coffers – in the event of it not being needed, it will go straight to the hospital League of Friends.

The artwork depicts a John McCririck character commenting on a Fontwell Park race to preserve our local hospitals.

Luckily, in the cartoon, the health trust's plan to cut services falls at the first hurdle.

Tom said: "It's a great piece of work by an internationally-known artist and we are so lucky to have been given it to help the campaign.

"We would publicly like to thank Mike for his support and generosity, and I am sure the cartoon will be highly sought after as a unique collector's item."

He added: "Two bids have already been received – the highest £60 – but we think it will go much higher than that."

The two other prints went to campaigners at St Richard's, Chichester, and Princess Royal, Haywards Heath.

Do you want to bid for the No 1 print?

You can email Kirsty Hanlon at kirsty.hanlon@worthingtoday.co.uk with your bid.

Whichever way you choose, don't forget to include the amount and details of your name, address and contact number.
