A level results slide show – Click on the video image for full screen
WITH hundreds of A-level students waiting anxiously outside Worthing College to collect their results little did they know staff inside were pulling out all the stop to avoid disaster — the postman had not arrived.
The postman was due at the college in Bolsover Road at 7am on Thursday, August 16, with the bag of students' results but he didn't show up until after 9am.
Staff had the frantic task of downloading the results off a computer and printing them out so students were not left disappointed.
Students achieved the college's best-ever results, with a pass rate of 97.8 per cent.
