HUNDREDS of foreign students were treated to a free gig at the Assembly Hall in Worthing.
The live event was performed by music students from Northbrook College to members of Welcome, a scheme which looks after thousands of foreign students coming to Worthing throughout the year.

The gig, held last Monday, was staged by Northbrook's foundation degree music students as part of their Live Sound module for their course.

The event followed on from a gig performed back in July to 700 Welcome students.

The Welcome scheme, which has been running for 25 years, was set up for students aged 11 to 19 from all over the world to visit Worthing and stay with local families.

During their stay, students spend their mornings learning English and enjoy excursions and events organised for them by five volunteers.
