CHILDREN have helped to put together boxes of gifts for families in Romania.
Pupils at St Nicolas and St Mary's Primary School, Shoreham, created 104 boxes of gifts as part of the Link Romania Family Shoebox Appeal – their highest ever total.
Head teacher David Etherton said: "We are delighted we have been able to donate more than 100 shoe boxes to those less well off than ourselves.
"The children enjoy assembling the boxes of small toys, stationery and personal hygiene products – and it helps them to really appreciate what they have."
This year, the appeal was boosted by families in the newly opened Little Fishes Nursery.
One girl and her family managed to put together a total of 25 shoe boxes.
