Thunder crash to home defeat against Leopards

WORTHING Thunder Basketball Club crashed to a 89-52 defeat at home to London Leopards on Saturday (January 21).

Thunder trailed 19-13 at the end of first quarter in the EBL Division 1 clash, before Leopards started the second stanza with a 13-0 run.

Leopards went into half-time with a 38-28 lead and increased their advantage to 60-38 by the end of the third quarter.

Leopards then won the final stanza 29-14 to condemn Thunder to a heavy home defeat.

Courtney Small top-scored for Worthing with 13 points.
