CHIPPINGDALE Cricket Club is looking to recruit players for its senior and junior teams for the upcoming season.

The club’s junior nets begin next week, with the senior men’s and ladies’ teams starting their indoor training sessions at the beginning of March.

With the club’s new facilities opened at The Rotary last year, Chippingdale chairman Paul Baker said: “These are very exciting times for Chipps and having proved that we can deliver on our ‘off-field’ activities based on a very challenging development plan, our focus for 2013 is now to improve our teams on it.

“If there is any player who would like a change or indeed a fresh start with another club, they would be very welcome at Chipps. We have already received enquiries from players who would like to join us as they can see the massive potential we have on offer.”

Chipps’ men’s teams’ indoor training begins on Saturday, March 2, at St Andrew’s School (3-5pm) and will be followed by outdoor sessions in April.

Chipps’ ladies team is looking for anyone aged over 16 to attend indoor nets at St Andrew’s School. The first training session is Saturday, March 2 (1-3pm).

The junior sessions start on Monday for boys’ under-11, -12 and -13 teams (school years six to eight) and then run on Mondays until April 29 (7.15pm-8.15pm).

The girls’ team training, for school years four to 10, runs from February 27 to May 1 on Wednesdays (6.15-7.15pm).
