The club, which plays in the Sussex Cricket League, was formed in 1867 at its current ground in Long Furlong.

Anniversary events organiser Jason Nicholls said: “We’ve been waiting a few years for this milestone to come around.

“Our launch party will kick-start a number of events planned throughout the summer to recognise our 150th anniversary.

“We have a great night planned on April 7 with some young and old faces involved, plus some great prizes to win.”

Tickets are £20, email [email protected].

The club is currently working with cricket kit supplier Gray Nicolls on a new commemorative club badge for the season.

It has also launched a new website www.fcc150.com in an attempt to reconnect to the hundreds of former players from previous decades.

“Our Friends of Findon Day on Sunday, July 23, will be the highlight of our season,” said Jason.

“We are hoping for as many old and new members to be together as possible. We would like anyone who has played for Findon over the years to get in touch and let us know what they’re up to.”
