CHIPPINGDALE Cricket Club’s annual Tenty 10ty tournament was another big hit at the weekend.
The event, in its fifth year, attracted teams from all over the county at The Rotary Recreation Ground.
Each age group competed over a morning or afternoon at the event and Chipps chairman Paul Baker said: “Although we had a mixed bag of weather, it was a fantastic cricketing weekend at the Rotary with plenty of fours and sixes being being hit to all parts.
“The smiles on the children’s faces were clear to see and made the tremendous effort that it takes to stage an event of this kind very worthwhile.
“We have already received great feedback from the clubs who participated and the many sponsors who supported us, to which we are extremely grateful.”
Chipps were winners in three of the age groups – the under-ten, under-12 and under-15 events.
Findon were also victorious in three age group categories, the under-nine, under-14 and under-16 tournaments.
Broadwater lifted the under-11 title and Littlehampton were the champions in the under-13 competition.
