CHILDREN attending the Albion in the Community Summer Sports Coaching programme in Worthing were shown a trick or two by Brighton & Hove Albion footballers last week.

Albion’s up-and-coming midfield star Rohan Ince and development squad goalkeeper, Christian Walton, paid a surprise visit to pupils at Thomas A Becket Middle School.

Girls and boys of all abilities who were attending one of Albion in the Community’s two-day coaching sessions got some master class training from the two professionals.

Ince and Walton answered questions and assisted AITC coaches and American Express volunteers in overseeing teamwork drills and helping the young footballers improve their passing and ball skills.

Head of AITC sports participation Larry May commented: “It is great to have the support of the Albion’s first-team players and to see Rohan and Christian get involved in the session and take the time to answer the children’s questions.

“It is brilliant for the youngsters to get the chance to meet two of their heroes and get their insights into professional football.”
