Newcastle prospect to board the Gus Bus?

Brighton and Hove Albion are set to add Newcastle United starlet James Tavernier to their ranks – days before the two teams meet in the FA Cup.

The defender recently returned to Tyneside after a successful spell at Sheffield Wednesday in League One and is now likely to link up with a Championship outfit.

And, according to reports in the North East, Brighton are the favourites to land the 20-year-old right back.

Toon boss Alan Pardew, who has previously loaned Kazenga Lua Lua to the south coast club before cashing in on the left winger, recently said, “I think he’ll go to the Championship this time, and do well.”
