After dropping two valuable points in their previous game at Molineux, Brighton & Hove Albion bounced back to form with an impressive 2-1 victory at Huddersfield with Will Buckley’s brace was enough in a comfortable win.

Buckley has moved onto five league goals and earns a 6/1 quote at BetVictor.com to top the Albion scoring chats; those goals at the John Smith’s Stadium leave him four behind Craig Mackail Smith who is a strong favourite at 1-4 to maintain his early lead.

That win lifted Brighton back into seventh spot just a point off sixth and it’s 2/1 that the club finish in the top six and thus, at worst, make the play off places.

The Seagulls do find themselves nine points adrift of surprise pacesetters Crystal Palace with title odds are 16/1 and 4/1 available about promotion.

With two home games in the next seven days against teams in the bottom half of the table six points must be the objective.

Brighton must try to cement a top-six position and begin with a tricky but very winnable game against pre-season favourites Bolton this Saturday.

Wanderers have struggled after relegation last term and currently occupy seventeenth position, albeit only seven points off the playoffs.

They have been hard to beat at home with only one loss but four draws have not helped and with a solitary road success and five defeats away Albion are 11/10 favourites for the win.

Bolton can be backed at 5/2 with the draw at 12/5.

Chris Eagles tops the Trotters scoring charts with six and is available at 9/4 to clinch the award as top Championship goalscorer for the Lancashire club with Kevin Davies breathing down his neck one goal behind and the current 15/8 favourite.

The pair are 10/1 and 8/1 respectively to open the scoring at The Amex and 11/4 and 9/4 to net anytime.

Albion stars’ Mackail-Smith at 9/2 and Buckley and Barnes, both 11/2, are seen as the more likely to score first and the form men are 11/8 and 13/8 to net during the contest.

Brighton follow this game by hosting relegation strugglers Bristol City on Tuesday and with the Robins in terrible form this gives Albion an excellent chance of securing the three points.
