Ferring win away to Ifield in top-of-the-table clash

FERRING Football Club twice came from behind to win 3-2 at Ifield in County League Division 3 on Saturday.

In a top-of-the-table clash, third-placed Ifield took the lead after just four minutes through Clay Darrell.

Ferring levelled through Ross Fraser, before Darrell’s second put Ifield back ahead on 26 minutes.

Ferring hit back with goals from Pete Christodoulou and Barney Boutwood to claim all three points.

The win takes second-placed Ferring four points clear of Ifield, with a game in hand.

Ferring sit six points behind leaders Langney, who have one game in hand.

Ferring entertain Billingshurst on Saturday (2pm) and then travel to Hurstpierpoint on Easter Monday (11am).
