Lancing Football Club struck three times in the final 30 minutes to seal a 3-0 home Southern Combination League Premier Division success over Crawley Down Gatwick last night.

Alex Fair broke the deadlock on the hour before Ryan Waterman and Robin Deen netted in the closing stages to fire Lancers to all three points.

The victory was a third in the league this season for Lancing and boss Ash Bailey hopes his side can kick on now.

He said: “It was a really pleasing evening and a decent performance from us.

“Even in the games we’ve lost so far this season, I felt we have done okay but it was nice to pick up all three points.

“We played some good stuff in the first half but couldn’t break through, then we kicked on in the second.”

Fair fired Lancing ahead on the hour, before Waterman struck to make it two three minutes later.

Victory was sealed as Deen struck a minute from time to seal all three points.

LANCING: Green; Mills, Bygraves, Sharman, Fenton; Hendy, Waterman, Caplin; Donaldson, Fair, Deen. Subs: Broughton (Fair), Charles (Donaldson), Diaz Garcia (Caplin), Williamson, Allan.
