WORTHING Football Club host Ryman League Division 1 South new boys Three Bridges tonight (Tuesday) in the first game of the season at Woodside Road.

Rebels narrowly lost 2-1 in Saturday’s opening at Folkestone although Rebels boss Chris White believes if his side can match that performance again tonight they’ll get their points tally off the mark.

He said: “They’ll be a tough game and it won’t be easy, but I don’t expect there to be one easy game in this league this year I don’t think.

“I watched them against Whitehawk the other week and they’re lively, but if we play like we did Saturday we’ll be ok.

“I was really impressed at Folkestone how we worked off the ball and that hasn’t been there before so I’m pleased with that.

“If we play like we did Saturday and with the normal tempo we do at home, I expect us to be fine tonight.”

With no new injury worries from Saturday, White has a virtually full-strength side available tonight. Omitted, however, are previously injured Tom Manton and Matt Piper.

Kick-off is 7.45pm.
