MICK Fogden and Jon Meeney will remain in caretaker charge of Worthing Football Club until at least the early part of 2014.
Rebels discussed the managerial vacancy at a meeting on Monday and chairman Lee Noakes wants to get the right person to take charge of the club, which is why he is not rushing into an apppointment.
He said: “Mick will remain as temporary manager and Jon as his assistant and then we’ll be looking at a strategy for 2014.
“What we have got to do is get the right person in. There’s no point in rushing a decision and getting the wrong person in.
“When I came to the club, we put a five-year business plan together and we’ve got to do the same with a manager, who understands our objectives.
“We’ve got a very good youth policy, so we want to see how we reap our rewards with that.
“But we’re looking to get someone in place by the early part of 2014, so they can look at the players and then start planning for the following season.”
