Number of local fixtures beat the elements

THE weather has put paid to a number of local football fixtures today, although around half have beat the elements.

Adam Hinshelwood’s first home match as Worthing Football Club’s new manager goes ahead with Rebels hosting Chipstead in the Ryman South Division at Woodside Road.

In County League Division 1, Lancing’s home clash with East Preston in on, as is Littlehampton’s fixture against Worthing United.

Shoreham against Hassocks and Arundel’s match at Ringmer, however, are both off due to waterlogged pitches.

In Division 2, Mile Oak versus Rustington and Storrington’s home clash against AFC Uckfield are both on, while Wick & Barnham United against Steyning at Crabtree Park has been postponed.

Ferring’s Division 3 derby with Clymping and Southwick’s fixture at Rottingdean Village have also both fallen foul of the elements.
