WORTHING Football Club were on the wrong end of a seven-goal thriller at Woodside Road on Tuesday night as they were beaten 4-3 by league new boys Three Bridges.
Two goals in two minutes before half-time from the visitors ensured they went in leading 4-2 at the break, after Mike Huckett had twice drawn Rebels back from a goal behind.
Tim Rivers put Bridges ahead after just three minutes, before Huckett poked home to level on 19 minutes.
The lead last just nine minutes, however, as Bridges’ Elliott squeezed a shot home after a corner.
And, although, Huckett again equalised, two quick-fire goals from Abu Touray and a second from Rivers, who hit a superb curling effort in from outside the area, handed Bridges a two-goal lead at the break.
Chris O’Flaherty pulled one back minutes into the second half from a tight angle , but despite constant pressure and chances, Rebels failed to find an equaliser leaving them with two defeats from their first two league games.
