WORTHING FC came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 with Merstham on Fans’ Day at Woodside Road today (February 26).
Sean Rivers volleyed Merstham into from 35 yards the lead early on after Rebels keeper Tony Di Bernardo’s headed clearance.
Rivers made it 2-0 early in the second half before Callum Saunders’ lobbed cross-shot pulled a goal back on 54 minutes.
Harry Ottaway restored Merstham’s two-goal lead immediately before Saunders got another back when he volleyed home Tom Lawley’s cross.
Saunders’ corner was headed home by Terry Dodd to make it 3-3 with 20 minutes left and Rebels then hit the woodwork through Saunders and George Gaskin as they pushed for a winner.
