WORTHING FC crashed to a 6-1 defeat at home to Walton & Hersham in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday (March 5).
Gary Frewen gave Walton a 12th-minute lead and they made it 2-0 on 24 minutes through Bakary Bojang.
Rebels then had striker Terry Dodd sent-off for two bookable offences and Walton got a third through Graeme Purdy on 43 minutes.
George Gaskin got a goal back in the last minute of the half and they had a golden chances to make it 3-2 on 51 minutes but Mike Huckett had a penalty saved.
Walton then added three more goals through Frewen, with a penalty, and Ashley Quashie, with two.
Rebels boss Chris White, whose side travel to County League East Preston in the Brighton Charity Cup on Tuesday, said: “We’ve just got to move on from this and not allow the season to fizzle out. I was going to give some of the squad a run out on Tuesday but these guys have got to get back on the bike and produce.”
