A last-minute Danny Turner penalty meant Storrington FC had to settle for a point from a thrilling afternoon at The Recreation Ground on Saturday.

Turner netted twice for the visitors in a game in which Swans soared into action and led 2-0 after just seven minutes through goals from Kelvin Hodben and Joe Warner.

Injuries hit Swans in the second half and Turner pulled a goal back on 67 minutes when Tom Pickford lost his footing on the slippery surface.

In the last minute of normal time, Bexhill broke and a cross struck Sam Elliott’s arm with the linesman signalling for what Swans boss Nigel Dyer felt was a harsh penalty, but Turner dispatched the equaliser.

Dyer said: “Overall, we probably would have been happy with a draw before the game, but to be 2-0 up, we’re obviously disappointed not to come away with all three.”
