WORTHING Football Club suffered just their fourth home league defeat of the season this afternoon when they lost 3-1 at home to Whitstable Town.

Rebels had Jacob Peake red-carded for a professional foul just before half-time in the Ryman League South Division match and Whitstable’s Stephen Hafner scored from the resultant free kick.

George Gaskin levelled for Worthing on 74 minutes but the visitors took all three points with late goals from Billy Cobb and Scott Heard, who scored the rebound after his penalty was saved by Jack Fagan.
