With a new manager at the helm and two impressive wins in the last week, Worthing Football Club’s title odds have been halved to 20/1.
A tremendous 3-2 win at Walton & Hersham last Saturday in Ryman League Division 1 South moved Rebels into 11th place, with only five points separating them from the summit.
Rebels will feel they have turned a corner after they beat league leaders Crawley Down 3-2 on Tuesday at Woodside Road in the Isthmian League Cup to complete a very satisfying week which also saw Lee Brace announced as the new manager.
Their home league game with Whitstable this Saturday now can’t come soon enough.
The visitors have managed three wins this term and find themselves in the bottom half of the table - they were defeated 2-1 at home by Sittingbourne on their last start and certainly, on paper, look there for the taking.
