WORTHING FC grabbed a late equaliser to draw 3-3 with Fleet in Ryman League Division 1 South on Saturday (February 12).

After a scoreless first half, Rebels quickly moved into a two-goal lead through Callum Saunders’ low 18-yarder and Ryan Timms header from John Lansdale’s corner.

Fleet pulled a goal back on 58 minutes through Chad Commbes’ low half-volley and equalised on 73 minutes when Darren Wheeler skipped past several challenges before netting from 15 yards.

Fleet completed the turnaround on 84 minutes when Josh Pearson broke through to slot home but Worthing rescued a point on 87 minutes when Saunders headed home after Lansdale’s long throw caused mayhem in the penalty area.
