TINA Cook failed to clinch a second medal this afternoon (Tuesday) as she fell just short in the eventing individual standings.
After helping to secure a team silver for Great Britain earlier in the day, her final run at Greenwich Park saw her drop out of the individual medal places.
Findon-based rider Cook incurred eight faults in her final round of the showjumping on Miners Frolic and fell to sixth in the standings after knocking down the first and third fence.
She was a place behind fellow GB team mate Mary King, who knocked over the same two fences.
Germany’s Michael Jung claimed the gold medal, team-mate Sandra Auffarth secured the bronze and Sweden’s Sara Algotsson Ostholt took home the silver.
Cook, however, will return to Findon with another medal to add to her collection of two bronzes from the Beijing Olympics.
