WORTHING Football Club boss Adam Hinshelwood praised his side after they twice fought back from a goal down to draw with Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday.
Hinshelwood had been disappointed with his players after a below-par performance in a 4-2 defeat at Three Bridges last week.
However, after the 2-2 Ryman League South Division draw with Tooting, he said: “I challenged the players to bounce back from the defeat to Three Bridges and they certainly did that.
“I wanted them to show a bit more determination and press the opposition out of possession and I thought we did that really well.
“A performance like that warrants a 2-0 home win and we’ve got to learn from the bad goals that we give away. But if we keep learning, then the results will come.
“They haven’t worked hard for their two goals and we know we’ve got to eradicate those silly goals from our game. If we do that, then we’ll start warranting the results that we deserve for our performances.”
Rebels travel to Crawley Down Gatwick tonight and then host Guernsey on Saturday. The Guernsey match kicks off at 12.52pm.
The game kicks off seven minutes after the scheduled 12.45pm start to mark the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster.
