WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club secured a last-gasp 22-16 home victory over Launceston on Saturday (January 21) with two late tries.
Raiders were losing the National 2 South clash 16-12 with two minutes left, but tries from Sam Hewick and Rob Smith, the latter converted by Matt McLean with the last kick of the game sealed the victory.
Raiders were leading 12-3 at the break, thanks to tries from Alex Neilsen and Matt Miles along with a McLean conversion.
But the visitors struck back after the break as James Lightfoot-Brown touched down and Kieron Lewitt converted and then kicked two penalties to put them ahead, before the late drama.
