ADUR Festival programmes will not be delivered to residents’ homes ahead of next year’s 25th anniversary event.
The popular festival will run from Friday, June 1, to Sunday, June 17, 2012.
However, for the first time in years, programmes will not be delivered to residents’ homes.
A council spokeswoman said: “We are not providing it because it did not provide value for money.”
Instead of the traditional programme, there will be listings leaflets distributed to locations throughout the district and full details of all events will be available at www.adurfestival.com and www.visitworthing.com
Anyone who would like to organise an event for the festival is being invited to register now.
Clare Mangan, Adur and Worthing regeneration manager, said: “Next year, we are hoping for more events and visitors than ever during the festival period, especially as our 25th year is very special with both the diamond jubilee and the London Olympics happening over the summer.”
Anyone wanting to organise an event for the festival can register for free at www.adurfestival.com, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 01273 263274.
