A SELECTION of stories about the pioneers of Worthing’s glasshouse industry will form the basis of an exhibition at Worthing Library.
These stories, with photographs, show some of the discoveries made into this neglected part of Worthing’s history, when glasshouses covered large areas of the town.
The exhibition starts at 2pm on Saturday, March 5, and finishes at noon on Saturday, March 19.
Malcolm Linfield, who has helped curate the exhibition, said: “We are hoping the exhibition will enable us to reach out to more people who can add a little more to the fascinating history of the Worthing glasshouse industry.
“There will be questionnaires available for people who wish to contribute.
“We are particularly interested in any old photographs, so please check your attics and draws.”
Anyone who has images of glasshouses in the town should email firstname.lastname@example.org
