A WORTHING charity will be cracking down the hammer at its annual charity auction this Saturday (April 16).
Guild Care, in North Street, hosts its fifth charity auction to help raise money for services described as a “life-line” to the most vulnerable people.
The auction will be held in the GreenHouse Charity Superstore, Meadow Road, from 11am.
Luke Knight, from the charity, said: “Every year it has grown. Every single time we have one, I’m amazed at how many people turn up and support us. They all get on board and the fact is that it’s absolutely essential for people to help us because all our services are funded entirely by the public.
“We help to provide a life line to some of our most vulnerable people. The importance of having a place to go is massive.”
On sale will be a variety of items including a Manchester United chess set, pictures, records and an old barometer.
Viewings are available between 9.30am and 10.30am. Parking is free and snacks will be available.
