A WORTHING author has organised a visit to a World War Two bomber plane crash site in High Salvington.
Graham Lelliott is running a visit and talk at the crash site of a World War Two German Heinkel 111P Bomber.
This is the second time he has run a visit to the site, with the talk coinciding with its fateful journey exactly 71 years ago.
Anyone who would like to take part in the walk and talk should meet in the Honeysuckle Lane car park at the top of High Salvington Hill at 4.30pm on Tuesday, August 16.
The crash site is a short walk from the car park and the visit and talk is expected to last about an hour.
If anyone has pieces of the aircraft, obtained at the time as souvenirs, they can bring them along to the visit.
Copies of Graham’s book on the subject will be available at a discounted price as well as his other four titles on Worthing history.
For more information or to confirm if the visit is taking place due to inclement weather, call 07793 435428.
